The Lora sea-side hotel is situated in the central part of Albena Resort Complex, in a quiet place full of greenery. The project is part of the recent policy of the owners to reconstruct and renovate the existing hotels from the 70s’, step-by-step, making no damage to the existing harmony between the buildings and the beautiful landscape.
The reconstruction aims to improve the standard of the old hotel and to create a modern 4 stars category high quality one. The project increases the size of the rooms, enlarges the bathrooms and provides a separate WC to each unit. The existing structure of prefabricated panels is partly demolished and a new layer of reinforced concrete envelope is built both sides of the building. This increases the depth of the rooms and allows new terraces to be constructed.
New lifts for passengers and services are integrated into the existing structure. They provide accessible environment and improve the services. All rooms, bathrooms and lobbies have been refurbished.
The new support structure together with the decorative façade elements and the glass balustrades create remarkable image. With respect to the typical architecture of the resort, the design of the façades originates in the rhythmic repetition of geometry forms, which builds a complex and multifarious texture.
