Location: Sofia
Status: Completed, 2006
Client: New Bulgarian Univresity
Total built-up area: 400 м

The project is a redevelopment of an existing terrace of the NB University to a new library hall. The building of the University has typical for the 70’s architecture. The new glazed facade of the library hall was successfully integrated within the existing structure. The hall is spacious, with natural sky light pene-trating through the glazed cupolas. The existing from the 70’s mosaic on the wall was preserved and incorporated in the interior design. The cove light on the ceiling outlines the space organization. The whole design reflects the idea of transparency and brightness.
