Location: Buxton, Sofia
Status: 2023, completed
Client: AP Capital AD
Total Built-up area: 4.300 m²
The building is situated in a quiet and green area, in the Southern part of Sofia. It faces the beautiful line of trees along the bank of a small river. There are six floors with apartments of different sizes and layouts. The ground floor is designed for offices and local services. The residents have a nice communal garden situated at the back of the plot. An underground parking provides car and bicycle places for every dwelling.
The building consists of 33 one-, two- and tree bedroom flats. There is a big variety of plans, which meet the various customers’ requirements. The smaller apartments are one-sided – either to the West or to the East. The bigger flats have two-sided layouts, which allow cross ventilation and all day long penetration of natural sunlight into the rooms. Most of the living areas enjoy the nice view of the mountain Vitosha to the South-West. Every flat has at least one loggia and big windows to improve the contact with the surrounding nature.
The variety of floor plans is exposed on the façade of the building by the alternation of recessed and projecting surfaces, bounded by the continuous horizontal lines of the stone cladding. They create an expressive texture, which wraps the whole building and make a soft and permeable layer between the massive volume and the outside environment.
